We need to coordinate the DMV’s schedule with our schedule to insure there is a vehicle and instructor available at the same time a test is available at the DMV.

Q: Can a parent be in the car with the student on a lesson?

A: No. We do not allow the parents in the car with the student as we have found that it can change the teaching dynamic.

Q: How do I schedule a lesson?

Q: How often should I schedule my lessons?

A: Typically, we suggest scheduling lessons every 4-6 weeks and getting lots of practice with parents in between each lesson.

Q: Should I save my last lesson and take it a couple of days before my DMV driving test?

A: NO! We want to make sure there is plenty of practice time between the 3rd lesson and the DMV driving test. Here’s the scenario that we are trying to avoid: Let’s say you had your 3rd lesson scheduled, and your DMV test was in the next couple of days from that 3rd lesson. Then due to unforeseen circumstances, (student is sick, a family emergency, instructor is sick, or a car breaks down) the lesson needs to be rescheduled. This means having to reschedule your DMV test and leads to very unhappy students and parents.

A: Yes! You can be picked up at our office in Ventura or a variety of alternate pick up locations within our service area (including Ventura, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Camarillo, Goleta, Ojai, South Oxnard and East Camarillo). Please call the office at 805-685-2436 to get this scheduled.
